What To Expect

Whether you haven’t been to church in a while or you’ve just moved to New Orleans and are looking for a church home, we know that going to a new church can be challenging. You may be looking to find a place to develop life-long friendships and relationships; maybe you’re looking for a relevant message addressing concerns in your life; or perhaps you are looking for a church that has ministries for everyone in your family.  Whatever you are looking for, we believe we can be an encouragement to you and your entire family no matter where you are in life's journey. If you are looking for a church family, join us for worship and Bible study. We look forward to meeting you.

If you have a baby…

…you are welcome to bring your infant into the worship center; please know we offer a cry room in our fellowship hall across from our sanctuary with a closed circuit broadcast of the service. We also encourage you to take advantage of our supervised nursery with skilled and loving caregivers. More information is available at the Welcome Center in the main lobby.

Preschool Worship…

... we have a preschool worship service designed specifically for your young child in Conference Room 103 across from the Sanctuary.  This service is video driven, and is a high energy experience.  Your preschooler is sure to love this worship designed just for them.

Just check your child in the preschool lobby through our electronic check-in system before you head to worship, your child will then be placed in the appropriate Sunday school class

As you enter the Worship Center…

… ushers are available to assist you should you have any questions or special needs regarding seating or other general questions. Should special needs arise during the service, feel free to go to an usher to request assistance.  As a first-time visitor at FBNO, you are our guest. We don't expect you to contribute in the offering. Feel free to sit back and relax as the offering basket is passed.

During our worship service...

…we welcome our first time guests . We won't put you on the spot or call you to the front. We will provide you with any information you need, and we just ask that you fill out and turn in the response card located in the pew in front of you to help us keep record of your visit with us.

Our worship services...

. . . We worship at 10:45 am on Sunday mornings.  You’ll experience band-driven worship led by Robert Comeaux, our Minister of Worship, along with our Celebration Choir most weeks.  We sing modern songs of worship along with updated arrangements of hymns recreated in a new way to allow the songs of our faith to be sung in a way that is relevant to today’s society.  Pastor David Crosby brings the message each week in a way that challenges us and inspires us to live out faith in Jesus in a fresh way.  Our main focus is that you would come in and be a part of worshiping God, singing to the audience of one, while experiencing life-changing fellowship and a challenging message.

After  the service…

… we would love to meet you.  Feel free to talk to one of the ministers or counselors who stood up during the response time in our service.  They would love to talk to you about how you can get involved at FBNO.

Frequently Asked Questions:

  • How do I get to FBNO?
Directions to First Baptist New Orleans
  • How far in advance should I arrive?
Allow half an hour, especially if you are checking in children into their services.
  • What should I wear
At FBNO, we encourage you to come as you are. In case you are wondering, most people attend wearing business-casual attire. Don't be surprised if you see some suits and ties, as well as people wearing jeans. God sees our heart and that's what He cares about; it's not about the style of clothing we choose.
  • What about my kids?
Childcare is provided for Birth-4years at FBNO on Sundays and Wednesday evenings. This enables parents to attend both worship and Bible Study on Sundays. For children five and older a Bible study class is provided while you are attending Bible study. We offer a safe environment and secure facility.
  • What is the Pastor’s Sermon Style?
Pastor David Crosby is one of the most energetic and passionate communicators of God's Word today.  Pastor Crosby teaches the timeless truths of the Bible with clarity, humor and real-life application. His messages are biblical and relevant to today's changing culture, but the message of the Gospel never changes.
  • When are the Service Times?
We have small groups for all stages in life at 9:30 am followed by Worship at 10:45 am.
