We need to connect the reality and authenticity of our worship with the condition of our relationships. If we are at odds with our brother, then we have no business coming to God for his blessing.

If we would connect our worship of God with the condition of our relationships, we would move from the form to the substance. We could experience God in worship rather than just going through the motions.

The greatest sickness in the human family is not the internal sickness of cancer or heart disease. It is the relational sickness of anger, bitterness, and unforgiveness, and the things which flow out of such folly: broken families, broken homes, and broken hearts. These spiritual maladies that plague our families result in much of the physical illness that we treat with pills. But we neglect to treat the brokenness of our relationships.
