Fill Up the Banquet Hall
- Series: The Kingdom
- by: David Crosby 06/07/09
This story is wide and deep. It tells us about the wonderful invitation that the king is giving to come into the banquet hall. It tells about those who received invitations early on, how busy they were, and how many of them ended up declining the offer.
The servants of the king are sent into the scary neighborhoods and streets, seeking attendees for the banquet, and they eventually fill the place with these people from the streets.
The story concludes with a sorry fellow who responded to the invitation but did not wear the appropriate attire. Many are invited, but few are chosen.
