On Being Seeds or Weeds

The authenticity of people who claim to be in the kingdom of God has always been a concern. Some people are just pretending. They look like followers of Jesus on the outside, but they never had a real change of heart.

Jesus tells a parable that compares two types of plants which look very much alike right up until they produce their crop. The advice is this: do not try to pull up the fake ones from the true ones. That is not your job, and you are not competent to do it. God will do the sorting at the end of the age.
