Hurricane Ida Work Days
Every Saturday through November 20th, we will gather at the church building at 8 am and disperse to serve our community and brothers and sisters in Christ. Workdays will last at least until noon. Some sites will be in New Orleans, and others will be in the river parishes in partnership with our sister churches.
There are various jobs, including debris removal, light construction, mud-out, and supplies distribution. If you plan to join us on a workday, please bring any tools you have (i.e., shovels, rakes, wheelbarrows, crowbars, or chainsaws) with you. Also, be sure to bring a water bottle, closed-toed shoes, work gloves, and a packed lunch.
If you would like to serve, please fill out the form below:
Many of you have been serving in numerous ways already, and we are grateful for what you have done! These workdays are a great opportunity for our church to continue to meet immediate physical needs in the aftermath of Hurricane Ida in the name of Christ.
If you have any questions, contact our Disaster Relief Coordinator Kimberly Myers.
