We are excited about today! Not only will our children be singing this morning in our worship service, but tonight our children will be performing their musical, “The Agape League.” All semester long our children have been singing lyrics, learning choreography, and memorizing lines for both solos and auditions. I’m so thankful for all of our adult volunteers who have spent countless hours preparing our children for this big night.
Tonight is the culmination of months and months of hard work. I’d highly encourage everyone to attend the musical tonight whether you have children or grandchildren participating or not. Our support as a church family of our children is vitally important to the body of Christ. The musical is not about the kids memorizing lines, singing solos on perfect pitch, or executing every dance move perfectly. Tonight is about us as a church celebrating our children praising the name of Jesus with all of our hearts, souls, minds, and strength. We should celebrate any time our children sing or praise the name of Jesus, and we have the opportunity to do that tonight.
Let’s pack our worship center tonight to show all of our children how important it is that they make Jesus a priority in their lives. And of course, remember we have our dessert celebration immediately following the musical in our fellowship hall. There might be a few cookies left for you to eat after I sneak in early to get my fill!
