Vacation Bible School is one of the biggest outreach events in the life of our church and it starts tomorrow! Each year kids come from all walks of life and even far-away states to attend VBS. Grandparents take advantage of the opportunity VBS provides to have their grandchildren in a fun and safe environment where they will hear stories from the Bible and have the opportunity to hear the Gospel message. VBS week is a time in which our church family intentionally invites neighbors, school friends, and relatives to church.
Are you searching for a way to meet people in the church? Volunteer to serve in VBS! One of our new volunteers this year said she decided to volunteer because the women in her class were talking about their experiences as VBS leaders and she decided she could do it too! Relationships are formed amongst volunteers; between volunteers and kids; and between volunteers and neighborhood families. Serving together develops relationships.
VBS is a picture of our church’s diversity: kids of all ages (some as participants and some as volunteers), kids from various backgrounds, adults utilizing their spiritual gifts as leaders, adults from all walks of life coming together to serve with a single focus – pointing children to Jesus!
